National Parks in Thailand

Thailand is a destination that offers a real cultural experience for its visitors. Whether in its gastronomic culture, its temples, or its landscapes, the Kingdom of Siam will not leave you unmoved. This is why we offer you an overview of its main national parks, which are an opportunity to visit unspoiled nature with beautiful landscapes.

 Kui Buri National Park

This park, located in southern Thailand, specifically at the Burmese border, is a recommended destination for viewing wildlife. Indeed, it’s particularly famous for its elephants that you can observe during a tour of the park by car, preferably with a guide. The park also has bungalows and spaces to pitch your tent if you wish to stay more than one day.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

This park is located in the southern part of the country, not far from the seaside resort of Hua Hin. Surrounded by the sea on one side and the mountains on the other, this park offers a guaranteed change of scenery to each of its visitors. You have many caves to explore, the best known is Phaya Nakhon with its temple. You can also go camping on the beach if you wish to stay there for a whole weekend. We recommend that you visit this park by bike, because it’s quite small and offers very beautiful landscapes!

Khao Yai National Park

Khao Yai National Park is located in the center of Thailand, and is the oldest in the country since its opening in 1962. It offers many hikes in an authentic and lush jungle. You can also come across many wild animals like monkeys, bears, or elephants. You can of course sleep there either in a bungalow or in a tent.

Mu Ko Surin National Park

Mu Ko Surin National Park is a group of islands located 50kms from the Thai coast in the south. It is a perfect spot for snorkeling with its plentiful underwater scenery. In its transparent water, you can see corals, many species of fish, or turtles. The park has beautiful places to dive, including the rock Richelieu. Because of these features, it’s a dream destination for lovers of underwater life and white sand beaches.

Khao Sok National Park

Khao Sok National Park is located in southern Thailand, in Surat Thani province. It’s mainly composed of a lush jungle because the region is very rainy. You will be able to find a large variety of plants and animals. Its numerous lakes also offer very beautiful landscapes. The ideal season to visit is between June and October to avoid the rain.
