Phuket is an island that’s a very popular tourist destination in southern Thailand. This is because of its beautiful landscapes, its viewpoints in particular, especially for sunset. We present the best viewpoints on the island not to be missed when you visit the Pearl of Andaman.
One of Phuket’s most striking sightseeing spots, it’s called by the locals “Three Beaches Viewpoint” since it allows you to take in the beaches of Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon. It is located south of Kata Noi Beach.
Big Buddha Viewpoint
The Phuket Stone Buddha is 45m high, and the view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. You need to dress respectfully with your knees and upper arms covered to visit this religious place. The visit is free but you can donate to help maintain the statue. Visiting hours are 8:00 to 18:30 every day.
Promtehp Cape Viewpoint
Promtehp Cape is particularly well-known for its sunset views on Phuket. It also has a very good Thai food restaurant and seafood at fair prices. From here you can admire the beautiful view as much as you want.
This point of view is located just above Ya Nui Beach, and takes its name from the wind turbine that is observable there. From the site you have a view of Ya Nui Beach and the small island of Koh Man.
Viewpoint du Wassa Homemade Bar
Wassa Homemade Bar is located on a hill behind Patong. The sunset from its terrace is the most beautiful of all that you will find around Patong. It’s open from 16:00 to 00:00 and you’re of course welcome to enjoy the view with a cocktail.
Radar Hill Viewpoint
Considered one of the most impressive on the island, this viewpoint around Patong has a panorama that is breathtaking. Note that this viewpoint isn’t usually crowded by tourists because it’s still generally unknown. You’ll also be able to make friends with the many locals to discover the other good places of Phuket to visit during your stay.
